| Divalida's suppliers must comply with the legal requirements and standards in the countries in which they do business. This includes labor, employment, environmental, and health and safety laws. If the local industry standards exceed the country’s legal requirements, DiVALIA's expects its suppliers to follow the industry standards.
DiVALIA's Standards for Suppliers address the following general areas:
Child Labor
DiVALIA's does not tolerate the use of child labor in the manufacture of the products it sells. DiVALIA's will not accept products from suppliers who use, in any manner, child labor in the manufacture their products.
Suppliers must assure that their factories, or the factories of their direct or indirect subcontractors, do not employ persons younger than 15 years of age, of 14 where the laws of the country allow.
Forced Labor
Forced labor is not tolerated by DiVALIA's. Suppliers must assure that their factories maintain employment on voluntary basis. DiVALIA's will not accept products from suppliers who use in any manner, forced labor in manufacturing their products.
